No, guests cannot directly reply to external messages such as emails, SMS, or messages from other integrated channels (e.g., WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger).
Guests can view these external messages if they are part of the conversation they've been invited to. They can also contribute to the discussion by posting internal chat messages to your team within that same conversation.
If a guest needs to provide input for an external reply, they should communicate this to your team members via the internal chat. A team member can then compose and send the external reply.
