What can a guest see and do in a Missive conversation?
When you invite a guest to a Missive conversation, they gain specific access and capabilities tailored for external collaboration:
- View conversation content: Guests can see most of the content within the shared conversation. This includes emails, SMS messages, other message types, attachments, tasks, and internal chat messages.
- Post internal chat messages: Guests can actively participate by posting messages in the internal chat stream of the conversation. They can also include attachments in their chat messages.
- @mention users: Guests can @mention users who are already part of that specific conversation to notify them or draw their attention to a chat message.
Guest actions are limited to ensure security and focus. For instance, they cannot reply directly to external messages like emails or SMS, nor can they manage conversation settings or create new conversations.
